The past 10 days have been slow comedy-wise, as I've been taking a bit of a break... dealing with a heavy work schedule (damn job, gettin' in the way again!), trying to write (and rewrite and rewrite) in anticipation of the upcoming Walk the Plank competition at Castagnola's Wharf Room. So I've been a bit lax in posting recent videos to YouTube, but as of tonight everything's up there for your viewing pleasure. Those of you in the Bay Area who haven't yet experienced The Gong Show at Ray's Hearth, really must do so! Next Gong is Saturday, October 8, 2011, just 2 days after my birthday debut at the Wharf Room on October 6th (please come out and show your love!). Both shows start at 8 p.m.; I think the Wharf Room is $5 but the Gong Show as always is FREE!

Exciting stuff!!
WOW guys, life at the speed of Suzy is going full-tilt boogie lately! Really good gigs this past week at The Brainwash in SOMA and Guayaki in Sebastopol, and tonight is the 9th Gong Show at Ray's Hearth! Ray's is where I got my start here in SF so I have a special place in my heart for that venue, and their Gong Show is nothing but hilarious hijinks and fun. It's the second Saturday of each month, so if you can't make it tonight, mark your calendars for Saturday, October 8, 2011. And yes, barring a role in a network sitcom, I'll be there!
Other exciting stuff: Thanks to the wealth of open mic appearances lately and my new Sony Bloggie mini-camcorder, I now have my own YouTube channel (ain't technology great?!). Here's the YouTube link to my August 13, 2011 Gong Show appearance...

Update
Okay, I'm reviving this formerly lame blog as a new and improved what's-up-with-Suzy-the-standup-comic blog. In my usual style, it's now nearly bedtime on Sunday night so I barely have time for a howdy-do, here's my new blog, but I did get to upload an appropriate pic of me as the June 2011 Winner of the Golden Trophy award at The Gong Show at Ray's Hearth in the InRich area of San Francisco (Inner Richmond, to the uninitiated).
In addition to Ray's Gong Show, I've done a few open mikes at The Brainwash and will be doing one this Tuesday, August 16th at The Rockit Room on Clement Street. Look for more new and exciting blog content including links to my videos and all that new-fangled techy stuff.
